(Cleveland)- The National Weather Service has cancelled the Winter Storm Warning for Northeast Georgia and replaced it with a Winter Weather Advisory, that is in effect until 10 AM Sunday. The area affected is generally along and north of a line from Lafayette to Jasper to Dawsonville to Cleveland.
Weather forecasters say although no additional snow or ice accumulations are expected… icy road conditions will continue. Snow and slush on the roads will create hazardous driving conditions as temperatures remain below freezing through late Sunday morning.
Snow and ice covered trees combined with windy conditions will likely down trees and power lines.
Motorist are still urged to use extreme caution when you travel because of icy slick spots will remain until late Sunday afternoon.
