(Cleveland)- White County election officials will be working Monday setting up all the county voting precincts in advance of what is expected to be a busy day Tuesday, for primary election day.
Friday the early voting period ended and there will be no voting today. White County Chief Voter Registrar Lisa Manning said Friday afternoon, “ it’s been crazy.” She said during the early voting, 1565 people voted in person, and 221 mailed ballots were received for a total of 1,786 ballots cast. That compares to around 800 voters cast early ballots in 2012.
Tuesday all polling precincts in White County will be open 7 AM until 7 PM for registered voters to cast ballots in the SEC Presidential Primary.
White County Election Superintendent Garrison Baker said he expects around 45 percent of the county registered voters will cast ballots.
