Pine Mountain, Ga. | The Lady Bears Golf team participated in the Skyhawk Invitational at Callaway Gardens, which was hosted by Point University on March 12th and 13th. The women finished in 5th out of 8 teams in the event.
Hannah Wall, a White County native, led the Lady Bears on Day 1, shooting an 86. Sophomore Teagan Lovingood finished two strokes behiind Wall with a score of 88. Following behind Wall and Lovingood, Hannah McRee shot for a score of 90, and Kiley Blackburn shot for a score of 96. The women combined for a team score of 360.
After a slower start than expected on Day 1, Day 2 proved to be significantly different for the Lady Bears as they preformed at much higher level than Day 1. The Lady Bears cut their team score down to a combined score of 349 on Day 2. Lovingood and McRee both showed significant improvement as each of them shot an impressive score of 83, which were some of the best scores of the day. Hannah Wall finished with a Day 2 score of 90. Kiley Blackburn also cut her score down by three strokes on Day 2, as she finished with a score of 93.
Teagan Lovingood finished the highest individually for Lady Bears at 16th place out of 44 players.
