(Cleveland)- The popular pickleball courts at the White County Park will soon be getting new surfaces following a contract approved by the White County Board of Commissioners on Monday.
The commissioners approved a contract with Signature Tennis Courts to resurface six pickleball courts at a cost of $7,999. Not all of that cost will come directly from county funds, the commissioners during the meeting also agreed to accept a $6,900 donation from Yonah Mountain Pickleball Club which will be used to fund the project.
The commission board worked with the Pickleball Club over five years ago to get the heavily used courts installed.
Commission Chairman Travis Turner said, “it’s been a successful relationship.”
