White County Commissioners with Robert Paul Forrester, Sr.

(Cleveland)- The White County Board of Commissioners Monday paid special recognition to a White County resident who will turn 100 next month. The commissioners at the beginning of their meeting approved an official proclamation designating June 7th as Robert Paul Forrester, Sr. Day in honor of his 100th birthday.
Forrester who attended the meeting was born in Atlanta in 1915, served 3 years in the U.S. Army and was a dental technician in his professional life. He moved to White County in 2014 following the death of his wife.

White County Commissioner Lyn Holcomb had the honor of reading the proclamation into record which concluded with, “and now therefore in commemoration of Robert Paul Forrester, Sr.’s longevity which is an inspiration to others and for his commitment to his family, friends and community throughout his life, the White County Board of Commissioners do hereby proclaims June 7th 2015 as Robert Paul Forrester, Sr. day in White County and extends it’s best wishes and appreciation to him on this occasion his 100th birthday.”

Forrester an avid golfe, played regularly until five years ago.
