(Cleveland)- Motorists are being urged to watch out for areas of Black Ice and slippery driving conditions this morning. The National Weather Service says light snow fell across much of North Georgia Monday night and early Tuesday coating roadways.
Any melting, which was limited due to the below-freezing temperatures, could have created some black ice areas. Mostly the roads are covered with light snow since the roadways were already cold from the past couple of days’ sub-freezing temperatures. Special attention should be given to bridges.
If you have to travel this morning remain extra cautious and be prepared for slick roads. Forecasters say the temperatures are expected to move above freezing later this morning which will help improve driving conditions.
So if you can delay your travel that would be advised.
