(AUGUSTA, Ga.) – University of North Georgia baseball player Jacob Lassiat was named by the Peach Belt Conference as its Elite 16 Award winner in the league’s annual year-end awards.
Lassiat has won the award for the second straight season, and it is the third straight year a North Georgia player has been honored as Lassiat’s teammate Nik Levensteins earned the award in 2021, while Lassiat was honored in 2022 and 2023.
The Elite 16 Award is given at each of the 16 PBC championships to the student-athlete competing in the championship with the highest cumulative GPA.
The junior from Alpharetta, Ga., has made 18 appearances this season for the Nighthawks and owns a 1-1 record with an ERA of 3.96. He has accumulated 20 strikeouts this season while allowing just 27 hits.
