(Cleveland)- Sunday afternoon  thunderstorms that contained high winds blew down numerous trees and power lines in White County.  Several thousand Habersham Electric power customers were without service, especially in the hardest hit area, the northwest section.

White County Public Safety crews were out in full force along with White County Public Works, In several instances private individuals were helping clear the roads.

White County E-9-1-1 dispatch was overwhelmed with calls and extra dispatchers were placed in service.

It will take quite some time to get all roads back open and power restored to everyone.

There have been no reported injuries as a result of the storms, but White County Emergency Medical Personnel were dispatched to several medical issues.
