(Cleveland)- More severe weather is possible today (Sunday) in the area.  National Weather Forecasters say temperatures will once again reach the mid to upper 90s across Georgia today, with heat indices 105°F or higher. Severe weather may occur in Georgia today, Monday, and on the 4th of July.

Don Strength, White County Deputy Emergency Management Agency Director said, “We had a few trees go down Saturday with thunderstorms near Sautee, Helen, and Sandy Flatts. Other storms moved through Cleveland and the south end of the county with street-level flooding in flood-prone areas.”  He said, “I don’t expect today’s coverage to be as widespread but where storms do form, they may be very strong.”
