(Cleveland)- Cleveland Police Department Administrative Assistant Sheena Wright has been named the Ninth District Administrative Assistant of the Year by the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police.

Wright was nominated by Cleveland Police Chief Jeff Shoemaker and his department.

In a letter of recommendation for the award Chief Shoemaker said that Wright has been employed by the Cleveland Police Department for the past eighteen years, she is highly regarded as a resource to all members of our agency. She has consistently demonstrated remarkable dedication, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to excellence in her role as an administrative assistant. She is not only the backbone of our agency but is relied upon by other employees of other departments within the city. Ms. Wright has embraced this and is our “go-to person” for many things.

He further stated Ms. Wright’s outstanding work extends beyond her regular administrative duties. She consistently seeks out opportunities to enhance her skills and knowledge and regularly attends the GACP Administrative Assistants, Georgia Municipal, and GCIC trainings.

Her proactive approach to professional development demonstrates her commitment to personal growth and a desire to provide the highest level of service possible.

Wright was recognized by the Cleveland City Council at this weeks meeting.
