Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Peggi Jill Hazen, age 83 of Sautee Nacoochee. Jill passed away Monday, September 23, 2024.
Jill was born to the late Melvin Kelly Walker and Vera Marie Walker. She had a rich and full life, her first job was as a flight attendant or in those days, a “stewardess” later Jill would fulfill
passion for helping others by becoming a Registered Nurse, a career that would span over forty years. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Donna and Tracy Clark of Lula;
Kelly and Tony Hatfield of Gainesville, her former husband Don Hazen of Sautee Nacoochee as well as her grandchildren and their spouses, April and Hunter Holland and Austin and Starr
Hatfield. Jill enjoyed her time with her friends playing bridge, traveling to such places as Italy, Israel, Egypt and Switzerland. She also enjoyed spending her spare time by showing her artistic
side as she created her paintings, drawings, and stainglassed pieces. A celebration of life for Jill is planned for Sunday, September 29,2024 at 1:00 pm at the
Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 1755 Duncan Bridge Rd, Sautee Nacoochee, GA 30571. The Rev. Dean Taylor will officiate.
