Sub Contractor installing Silt Fence around the Chic-Fil-A property in downtown Cleveland

(Cleveland)- There is some activity on the proposed site for the Chick-Fil-A Restaurant in Cleveland, but company officials are not providing information about the new facility.  On Monday workers began digging trenches for silt fencing on the property. When we contacted Chick-Fil-A officials a spokesman had the same message as last August when we contracted them about the company updating their permits for the property and that was,  “it’s extremely too  early to provide specifics on construction. “

Connie Tracas, Cleveland City Clerk said permits have been obtained for the shell construction as well as the build out of the facility.

When we contacted Venture Construction Company, in Greensboro, NC the listed contractor for the project they referred all questions to Chick-Fil-A.

It’s been almost four years since Chick-Fil-A purchased the property in downtown Cleveland and lovers of  Chick-Fil-A  products have been waiting for some action on the property.

UPDATE:     WRWH received an email from  Bernard Hendrix, Public Relations representative at Chick-fil-A this afternoon saying, “We anticipate opening a restaurant in Cleveland, GA later this year.”
