Ann and Crawford Skelton (C) with White County Commissioners
(Cleveland)- The county commissions at Monday’s meeting also took time to pay special recognition to a White County couple, Crawford and Ann Skelton of Cleveland, who have contributed to the county in the past, as part of their jobs and involvement in the community. Ann, who served with the White County School System for many years and Crawford who served at a local auto dealership and local financial institution.
White County Commission Chairman Travis Turner read a special resolution that recognized the couples service, here is part of what Turner said, “Although Crawford and Ann did not have children of their own, they have been parents to nieces and nephews and helped hundreds of young people by providing food, clothing, financial support , encouraging words and their time.”
The Skelton’s had several of their friends who attended the meeting to help them celebrate the special recognition.
