(Cleveland)-  Weather officials say they have been receiving quite a few phone calls and inquiries from the public concerning the smoke in the northern part of the Georgia. Keith Stellman, Meteorologist in charge of the National Weather Service in Atlanta said, anytime we have a northerly wind, North and Central sections of the state  will be dealing with some levels of smoke until we can get some rain.

The weather service issued a special statement Monday afternoon saying smoke from the wildfires in far North Georgia is  being pushed by  persistent Northwesterly wind is expected  to continue through Tuesday. This will result in reduced visibility along with unhealthy air quality.  Children and other who are sensitive to smoke  should limit outdoor activities.
