(Cleveland)- Both White County Sheriff Neal Walden and County Commission Chairman Travis Turner will face opposition in the May 24th party primary.
Thursday 40-year old Aaron Autry, a Habersham County deputy sheriff and former deputy in White County, paid his qualifying fee to run as a republican candidate. Contractor and former county commissioner, Joe Campbell qualified for the County Commission Chairman’s position.
The two were the only candidates to qualify Thursday.
The qualifying period ends today at noon for those seeking a position on the May 24th primary ballot.
