(INNISBROOK, Fla.) – On Monday-Tuesday, the No. 16 Truett McConnell University men’s golf team traveled to compete in a field of highly competitive teams at the Invite at Innisbrook, where the Bears finished in sixth out of 20 teams with a final team score of 896 through three rounds. TMU was featured besting four nationally ranked teams, including No. 14 Point University who finished in seventh (901), No. 6 Coastal Georgia who finished tied in eighth (903), No. 22 Reinhardt University who finished in 10th (906) and No. 11 Southeastern who finished in 11th (913).

Most notable, Jackson Stone rose to the occasion as he was crowned invite champion out of 104 golfers, after shooting a stellar 68 through round one and a pair of 72’s through rounds two and three (212), along with earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Caden Sanders followed the action tied in 15th after shooting a 72, 77 and cut off five strokes in round three for a 72, respectfully. Nate Thornton was seen shooting a 76, 74 and 77, while Peyton Shedd shot a 77, 78, 81 and Cade Wood shot an 80, 79, 83.
