Animal Control Officer, Brian Anthony

(Cleveland)- Each month White County selects an employee to be featured in the county-wide newsletter, that employee is chosen for their outstanding efforts and customer service.

For the month of September Public Safety’s Brian Anthony was chosen.

They call it the “pickle” award! Anthony has worked with White County for approximately 10 plus years as a Volunteer Firefighter and full-time with Animal Control. He has worked as an Animal Control Officer for approximately 2 ½ years. He is certified to use a “dart gun” in the event that a domesticated animal needs to be sedated.

He said some calls he answers are “tricky” and a typical day includes cleaning and sanitizing kennels and cages, setting traps, and currently handles between 2 -10 calls a day. When asked for an interesting fact about him, he shared he is “deathly afraid of snakes!”

Brian LOVES the outdoors and is thankful for the opportunity to work for White County.
