WC Public Safety Seal_editedCLEVELAND – Four White County senior citizens were taken to the hospital  by ambulance Saturday morning  after reporting they woke up with headaches they thought could have been caused by carbon monoxide in their home.

White County Public Safety Director David Murphy reports the call to Huntcliff Ridge north of Cleveland was received at 10:01 a.m.

Fire personnel reported getting a reading of 68 on a carbon monoxide meter, meaning the concentration was hazardous.

The four people who had been in the home, said to be in their 70’s, were taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Authorities didn’t release the cause of the possible carbon monoxide issue.
