(Cleveland)- The City of Cleveland Police Department reports the following activities for the week ending June 24th, 2024.

Date Activity
June 16th
  • Officer observed a vehicle pull into the parking lot of a W. Kytle Street business very
    quickly and enter the car wash bay. Upon checking and speaking with the driver, she
    advised that she had stopped at the closed business to walk her dog. Further
    observations found that she had an odor of alcohol coming from her person and was
    unsteady in her movements. The driver was charged with DUI less safe.
June 19th
  • Officer conducted a traffic stop for no taillights on N Main Street. Upon speaking with
    the driver an odor of marijuana was smelled coming from inside the vehicle. The
    vehicle was searched and a glass jar with suspected marijuana and a grinder were
    found. A passenger was arrested and issued a citation for Marijuana less than an
    ounce and a warning citation was issued to the driver for no taillights.

 

  • Officer responded to a two-vehicle accident on Parkway Plaza. Minor vehicle damage,
    no injuries, one citation issued for failure to yield when entering roadway.
June 20th
  • Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for no taillights. Upon speaking with the
    driver, he was found to have no driver’s license. The driver was arrested and issued
    citations for No taillights, driving while unlicensed and Removing/ Affixing tag with intent to
    conceal or misrepresent.

 

  • Officer responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Bell Street and W. Kytle
    Street. Complaint of minor injuries, serious damage to both vehicles, one citation issued for
    failure to stop at a stop sign.

 

  • Officer responded to a two-vehicle accident on GA Hwy 11 at Underwood Farm Road. Minor
    damage to both vehicles, no injuries, two citations issued for improper passing and expired tag.
June 22nd
  • Officer responded to a two-vehicle accident on Hwy 75 South. A vehicle turned into the
    apartment complex and the vehicle behind it braked which caused the next vehicle to run into
    the one braking. Minor vehicle damage, no injuries, one citation issued for following too
    closely.
June 24th
  • Officers responded to shoplifting at a Donald E Thurmond business. Subjects entered the store and selected items that they took from the store, passing all points of sale. The subjects were arrested for theft by shoplifting. The items were recovered.
