(Sautee)- Drought conditions are back, Local News Radio weather reporter Bill Kinsland reports that 89% of Georgia’s land area is in some degree of drought.
Here in WHITE COUNTY, about 75% of the county is in a D-1 OR “Moderate Drought” status…the northwest corner of the county is in D-ZERO or “Abnormally Dry” condition.
According to Bill June was a very dry month in White County Bill said we only recorded 3.04 inches of rain which is 53% of our normal June rainfall of 5.75 inches.
No major rain event is forecast for the area this week just afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms.
