(Peachtree City)- The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Flood Watch for portions of north Georgia…north of a Summerville to Dawsonville to Homer line from Saturday morning through Sunday evening.
Forecasters say heavy rains will spread over north Georgia beginning Friday night and continuing through Sunday. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible with isolated higher amounts, especially in the higher terrain of the mountains.
These rainfall amounts will like lead to flooding. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop and should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings..
