Ms. Mote was born on November 2, 1941 in Clarkesville, Georgia to the late Robert Wesley and Edna Maney Mote. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Douglas Mote; sisters, Linda Bennett and Myrtis Elois Mote Brown. Ms. Mote was the last of her immediate family.
Gail served as secretary and assistant to six presidents of Tallulah Falls School throughout her remarkable 50-year career, from May 1963 to May 2013. Gail was of the Christian faith, growing up at Bethel Temple Church, where she continued to attend throughout her life. She also attended services at Free Chapel. Gail will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and her deep commitment to her school. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, exploring new places, and creating cherished memories with loved ones.
Survivors include her nephews and their spouses, Jeff and Rena Brown, of Cornelia; Craig and Lisa Brown, of Habersham Mills; brother-in-law, Kirk Brown, of Demorest; great-nephews and their spouses, Matthew and Hillary Brown, of Cornelia; Chris and Sarah Monti, of Habersham Mills; three great-great nephews and two great-great nieces.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Craig Brown officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.
