(CLEVELAND) – On Monday and Tuesday, the Truett McConnell University competitive gaming team opened their fall season competing in Rocket League against Missouri Southern State University and Overwatch 2 against Tufts University. A hard loss on Monday in Rocket League gave the Bears the motivation they needed to turn things around and secure their first team win of the season in Overwatch 2 with a final score of 3-0.

TMU took on the Tufts in an Overwatch 2 battle, dominating through all three rounds as a team and ultimately came out on top in sweeping fashion (3-0). Most notable, Adrian Berry was named Most Valuable Player after a sharp performance, while Jarod Valladares consistently played deep the whole competition, crushing the opposing team.

Up next, the Bears are back in action on Monday, October 2 in Rocket League and Tuesday, October 3 in Overwatch 2.
