FLORENCE, S.C. | The University of North Georgia women’s basketball team fell on the road for the second consecutive game to Francis Marion 67-57 Monday afternoon.

The Patriots led wire-to-wire with the game only being tied once at 2-2. They led by as many as 14, which happened twice in the fourth quarter.

With the loss, the Nighthawks fall to 12-5 overall and 4-4 in Peach Belt Conference play. The Patriots improve to 14-3 on the season and 5-3 in the conference.

NOTES
Kelsey Hutchins led the way for North Georgia with a game-high 18 points. She was a rebound shy of a double-double.

Cierra Jackson notched her 10th double-double of the year with 16 points and 11 rebounds. She was a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line.

– North Georgia shot a season-low 10 percent (1-10) from beyond the arc. It was the worst three-point shooting performance since last year against Columbus State where the Nighthawks shot 0-of-11 from the three-point line.

– The Nighthawks are now 2-3 when scoring less than 60 points.

– The Patriots were led by Alaysia Watts with 18 points. Camille Dash and Khayani Chandler had 13 points each.
