(Cleveland)- Temperatures are expected to climb into the 50’s this afternoon across Northeast Georgia following a night that saw some freezing rain, then rain showers and temperatures early this morning that were around freezing.
The Habersham and Banks County public schools are operating on delay schedules this morning for students and staff, because of the threat of ice on a few bridges. White County Schools had a student holiday for today.
One of those icy bridges was the Highway 115 bridge between Cleveland and Clarkesville.
White County 9-1-1 advised just before 7 AM that the 115 bridge as well as the bridge on Duncan Bridge Road at the White Habersham County line had ice on it. The dispatch center advised there was a multi-vehicle accident on the Highway 115 bridge.
There were no serious injuries reported as a result of the accidents.
