Jerry Timothy “Timmy” Winkles, age 52, of Alto, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

Mr. Winkles was born on June 26, 1972 in Fulton County, Georgia to the late Paul Winkles and Paula Prickett Winkles. Timmy was known for his deep love for softball and his unwavering dedication to his work throughout his life. He was a handyman throughout the years, working in both the plumbing and sheetrock industries. Outside of work, Timmy’s true joy was his family. He cherished his beloved wife, his children, and his granddaughters who all brought him immense pride and happiness.

Survivors include his loving wife Gina Winkles, of Alto; daughters and sons-in-law, Brittany and Ryan Hunt, of Toccoa; Makayla Winkles and Chad Joy, of Alto; Kelly and Derrick Prater, of Gainesville; grandchildren, Makenzie, Braylin, Makenna, Peyton, Paisley, Presley, Paxton, Grace, and Penley; and brother, Michael Winkles, of Alto; best-friend and his spouse, Jeff and Shelia Neaves; and his loyal dog, Bella.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Reverends Randy and Sandy Coggins officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, August 1, 2024 at the funeral home.
