Jerry William Shuler, age 82, of Cleveland, GA, was called home on
Monday, February 20th, 2023. 
Mr. Shuler was born April 11th, 1940, in Cleveland, GA to the late Marion
Mashburn and Vinnie Mae Shuler. He was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist
Church and served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1966. Mr.
Shuler is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Shuler; brothers-in-
law, Edsel R. Nix and Roy D. Adams.
 
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Rena Shuler,
Vaughn and Diane Gilleland and grandson, Levi Shuler of Cleveland;
sisters, Marie S. Adams and Audrey Nix, both of Cleveland; sister and
brother-in-law, Mildred and John E. Autry, Cleveland; sister-in-law and
brother-in-law; Reverta and Michael Allen, Cleveland; brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law, Claude and Dianne Gilleland and Leon and Linda Gilleland,
all of Cleveland and Lavenia and Nick Clark of Gainesville; grandchildren,
B.J. Hood, Candi Hood, Jonathan Rupard, Ashley Rupard; 16 great-
grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Reba Adams, Sondra Champe, Ellen
Palmer, Edwin Nix, Roger Autry.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, February 23, 2023,
at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Brandon Hester, Nephew
Nick Palmer and Rev. Josh Chatham will officiate. Interment will follow in
Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday,
February 22, 2023, at Barrett Funeral Home in Cleveland, GA.
