Jo Anne Roberts, age 89, of Cornelia, Georgia went to her heavenly home on Monday, July 8, 2024.
Ms. Roberts was born on September 24, 1934 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Fred and Faye Henry Roberts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James Allen “Jim” Roberts, William “Bill” Fred Roberts; and a sister, Elizabeth “Beth” Roberts Maney.
She was a 1951 Graduate of Clarkesville High School. Ms. Roberts was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Cornelia, where she served in multiple leadership capacities for many years. She had retired as a Legal Assistant from Kimzey, Kimzey and York with over 30 years of dedicated service. Following her retirement, Jo Ann started a second career working for Community Bank and Trust, serving over 20 years.
Survivors include her sister, Peggy Seabolt, of Roanoke, AL; brother-in-law, Marvin Maney, of Demorest; sister-in-law, Judy Roberts, of Fayetteville; nephews and their spouses, Steve and Joy Maney, of Clarkesville; Stan and Sonya Maney, of Dalton; Allen Roberts, of Roswell; Andrew and Gretel Roberts, of Dallas, TX; and niece, Suzanne Seabolt, of Birmingham, AL; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Cornelia with Rev. Steve Doran officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2024 at the church prior to the service.
