(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) – The Truett McConnell University women’s golf team traveled to compete in the Lindsey Wilson Showdowns at Legends Monday – Tuesday for their second tournament of the season. TMU finished fourth of 11 teams, with a final team score of 960.

Most notable freshman MinJi Kang placed first out of 60 opponents. Kang bested her opponents through three rounds, starting with a 77 through round one. Kang shaved seven strokes on day two for an impressive 69 and concluded day three with a 70.

Tied for 19th was sophomore Grace Lansdell with an 86, 79, and 78 through three rounds, followed by sophomore Madison Panter (24th), who shot 82, 82, and 83. Freshman Jala Stamey (29th) shot an 86 through round one and 89 through round two. Stamey shaved off nine strokes to lessen her score to an 80 through round three. Freshman Audrey Grace tied for 38th (91, 92, 82).

Up next, the Lady Bears will travel to West Point, Ga. to compete in an AAC battle, the Point University Skyhawk Invitational, Sunday, Mar. 6 – Tuesday, Mar. 8.
