(Cleveland)-Truett McConnell University officials say Keys for Mission, a campaign presented by the School of Music, is well underway to pay for the purchase of five new concert pianos.

The fundraiser, in honor of Dr. Lombard, began in August with a goal of raising $30,000. Since the fundraising began, approximately $15,000 has been raised. Among the donors are alumni Patsy Benton and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Cotton, as well as Jubal Ministries.

On Saturday evening, November 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the Harris Athletic Complex, a celebration concert dedicating these Pianos to the Glory of God will be held.  Dr. Lombard will share her testimony through music. The TMU Chorale, Jazz Band, faculty, and students will also be performing.

Donors are invited as well, so that they may be thanked for their generosity and support. While the concert is free, tickets are required so that adequate refreshments can be prepared. If anyone would like to attend, please email Kathy Duren (kduren@truett.edu), or Jana Gabrielse, jgabrielse@truett.edu.

The pianos will be on display in Sewell Plunkett Chapel.

The sacrificial and selfless generosity of donors will impact Truett McConnell’s music program for years to come.
