POOLER, Ga. | The University of North Georgia men’s golf team posted a final round 305 to finish in seventh place out of nine teams at the Armstrong Pirate Invitational on Tuesday held at Savannah Quarters Golf Club. Grant Lasseter led the way for UNG with a 74 (220) to land the sophomore in a tie for 13th place out of 53 golfers.

Dalton Humphrey carded a 79 on Tuesday to finish at 221 and earn a share of 17th place.

No. 11-ranked Flagler went wire-to-wire to capture the team title. The Saints’ three-round, three-under-par 861 total was eight strokes better than No. 12-ranked West Georgia (869), with Clayton State (878) and host Armstrong State (882) finishing third and forth, respectively, in the nine team field.

Individually, West Georgia’s Barrett Waters was the medalist, carding a nine-under-par 207 total to win by five strokes.
The Nighthawks will return to action on March 28-29 at the Bearcat Spring Invitational, hosted by Lander at Greenwood (S.C.) Country Club.
