Pill confiscated during Lumpkin County investigation

(Cleveland)- On Tuesday Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Deputies, and members of the  Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office,  based in Cleveland,  conducted a drug investigation in Dahlonega. Mitchell Posey, Special Agent in Charge of ARDEO said, as a result of the collaborative effort agents seized approximately 300 suspected alprazolam pills and arrested

Mitchell Posey, Special Agent in Charge of ARDEO said, as a result of the collaborative effort agents seized approximately 300 suspected alprazolam pills and arrested 21-year-old John David Herrin of Dahlonega.  Herrin is charged with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance with intent to distribute, misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement officers, and abandonment of dangerous drugs.
