Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Maurice Grady Fain,

age 79 of Sautee Nacoochee. Maurice passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015. Funeral

services are scheduled for 11:00am, Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in the funeral home

chapel with Rev. Keith Windmiller officiating.

Maurice was born in Robertstown, Georgia on Ralph Fain and Elese Vandiver Fain. He

was a 1954 graduate of Nacoochee High School. Following graduation, Maurice moved to

Atlanta and took a position with the Colonial Baking Company as an accountant, a position

he would have for some 30 years. Maurice would retire from Colonial Baking, but not

being one to sit still for long, he would have many more careers before finally settling down

to enjoy retirement, which would include hiking, some trout fishing and especially golf.

Maurice was an active member of Nacoochee United Methodist Church where over the

years he had served on numerous committees. In addition to his parents, Maurice is

preceded in death by his granddaughter, Elena Shaw and brother, Bobby Fain.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Edna Hood Fain of Sautee, daughters Angela

Connelly, (Keith) of Lilburn, Kathy Wiley ( Neal) of Sautee; brothers, Don Fain ( Shirley)

of Sautee, Scotty Fain ( Debbie) of Hiawassee; grandchildren, Nick and Kevyn Connelly

and Jake Shaw.
