(CLEVELAND) – The Truett McConnell University men’s cross country team is set to begin their 2023 season on Friday, September 8 at the GMC Brickyard Invitational, hosted by Georgia Military College.
“I’m excited about our chances to do well this season. We’ve got the majority of our team back, led by senior Marco Flores. We’ve added some very talented freshmen and I think Connor Morgan coming over from track and field should help us a lot with depth. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do this year—I expect us to show huge improvements in comparison to what we did last year.”
The Men’s team will be returning Flores and Bryson Swartz, along with three newcomers to the program and Morgan from the TMU men’s track and field team. Along with the women’s team, the Bears schedule includes four total invitationals before the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championship in November.
