WALESKA, Ga. | The Truett McConnell men’s golf team finished in fourth place in the Reinhardt Fall Invitational with a two-day total of 602. The host school won the tournament by 15 strokes over second place Bryan College.
Weston Sapp and Matt Smith led the Bears in the tournament, shooting identical scores of 151 to finish in a tie for 10th. Drew Schmidt and Dawson Day finished a stroke back in a tie for 14th at 152, and Luke Peavy finished a stroke behind Schmidt and Day in a tie for 19th. Reinhardt’s Ben Dulin won the tournament, shooting 68-67 in the two tournament rounds. The Bears will now head to the AAC Fall Championships in Kentucky on Monday and Tuesday. |
