(CLEVELAND) – The Truett McConnell University men’s volleyball team is set to begin their 2023 season on Thursday, where they will host the University of Rio Grande in their home opener, inside the Harris Athletic Conference.
Head Coach Dave Herron and Assistant Coach Barbara Herron tackle their second season of men’s volleyball and have this to say, “We look forward to the challenge of our conference schedule. We have had good training sessions and an improved roster gives us increased confidence we can compete! “
Juniors Wensky Saintilmond, Nathan Hill, and Jackson Adams are amongst the core group of returners for TMU. The Bears will also feature four new incomers.
Coach Herron adds, “Team success will always be more important than individual accomplishment, but our top players will need to be accomplished players!”
This Thursday’s competition is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time, followed by a home match-up against Milligan University and Benedict College starting on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 12:00 p.m.
