Mary Lois Justus Irvin, age 96, of Clermont, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
Mrs. Irvin was born on January 21, 1927, in Braselton, Georgia, to the late Warren and Bertie Mae Perdue Justus. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Irvin was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Roy Irvin, whom she married on April 29, 1946; sisters, Kathleen Martin, Girlie Mae McDaniel, and Reba Dickson; brothers, Willie Justus and Benny Justus; daughters-in-law, Pamela Irvin and Martha Irvin; grandchildren, Brandy Irvin and Chris Irvin.
Mary Lois always enjoyed working on her farm. She never drove a car, but she could do just about anything with her Snapper lawn mower. She loved her family and her church which she attended faithfully until about two years ago. She was a lady of few words and showed us her love by her works. Until his passing in 1995, Moon and Mary Lois were inseparable, and now they are together with Jesus forever.
She is survived by her sons, Terry Irvin of Columbus, Georgia; Rev. Mike Irvin (Robin) of Lula, Georgia; Randy Irvin (Renee) of Cleveland, Georgia; daughter, Susan Clark (Rodney) of Lula, Georgia; sister, Sylvia Hulsey of Gainesville, Georgia; grandchildren, Jerri Mason, Shane Irvin, Amanda Chapell, Melissa Irvin, Ranzie Irvin, Joshua Irvin, Heather Clark, Adam Clark, and Kent Davis; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. The Rev. Kyle Savage and Mr. Billy Cantrell will officiate. Interment will follow in Skitts Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
