(PIKEVILLE, Ky.) – The No. 23 Truett McConnell University women’s soccer team hit the road to face Appalachian Athletic Conference opponent University of Pikeville on Wednesday in their final regular season conference match-up, where the Lady Bears clinched the win with a score of 4-0. TMU is currently sitting at an overall record of 13-1-2, 12-0-1 AAC, along with maintaining a 10 game win streak.

PLAY-BY-PLAY
The first half proved even in play on both sides of the field, while TMU managed to take six shots compared to UPikes one shot. The Lady Bears worked hard leading into the half, starting the second half of regulation with high momentum as seen by the first goal of the game off the foot of Eliska Dvorakova in the 58th minute, assisted by Ruffa Meger.  Isabelle Hodson followed the action in the 72nd minute with a goal of her own, assisted by Brianna Hernandez, to put TMU up by two, while Ashley Johnson made her mark with the third goal of the game in the 78th minute from a penalty kick shot. The final goal of the game was shot by Hernandez (Kendra Wilbert) right before the buzzer to make the score 4-0.

LEADERS
Hernandez led the way with one goal and one assist, Johnson followed with one goal and four shots, three on goal, while Dvorakova and Hodson had one goal apiece. Meger and Wilbert recorded one assist apiece, followed by Annabel Trauschke who had three shots on the day.

The Lady Bears are back in action on Saturday, October 26, where they will host Georgia Gwinnett College in their final game of the regular season at 7:00 p.m.
