(Cleveland)-With White County being under a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY, and with other counties making similar decisions, White County Superintendent of School Laurie Burkett announced Monday evening that there will be no classes for students Tuesday (1/16).

White County Public Service Director David Murphy said, “There is much uncertainty in the forecast, and we will side on caution.”

Even though they don’t expect any widespread issues at this time Murphy said, “I believe it will be very limited to higher elevations and elevated exposed surfaces.  This is based on the computer models and information being shared by the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to dip to single digits by Wednesday morning and everyone should be prepared for the coldest temperatures of the season.
