Outside power crews assist HEMC linemen get power back on in North Georgia – Photo HEMC

(Clarkesville)- Habersham Electric has advised that all customers that were affected by Hurricane Helene have their power back on.

A post on the HEMC’s Facebook page Sunday night said, “We are at the 11:00 PM mark and we are so very close to getting every member connected. We are not leaving and all resources are in the field and focused on the remaining 56 meters. We won’t stop tonight until everyone is connected. We thank you for your patience and understanding, we are grateful for our members and are proud to serve you. A check early Monday showed no outages in the HEMC service area.

Georgia Power Outage map shows no outage in White County Monday morning.

A section of Holly Springs Road between Skitts Mountain Road and Cleveland Highway in Hall County will be closed for two to three days due to the road being washed out. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that the Georgia Department of Transportation will be handling work on the incident.  The Sheriff’s office noted this closure is unrelated to a hazmat incident on the roadway that occurred Saturday morning.

The White County Board of Education will hold a rescheduled meeting today (9/30) at 5 PM. The meeting will be held in the Cliff H. Hood Board Meeting Room, on Warrior Path in Cleveland. The public is welcome to attend.

White County High School football game that was scheduled for Friday, September 27 has been rescheduled for tonight (9/30) at 7 PM. We will have the game here on WRWH. The pre-game tailgate show begins at 5:30 PM
