Sports – The season came to a close last night for the White County Girls team as they were defeated by Greater Atlanta Christian in the first round of the GHSA State Playoffs.

The game was slow to get started as both teams remained scoreless for the first ten minutes of play, but thereafter it would be the GAC Spartans on top for the rest of the game and were ahead by 15 at the end of the first half, 31-16.
The second half showed promise by White County, eventually getting their deficit down to single digits. But just as they started closing the gap, the Spartans turned up the heat, and by the end of the game, were ahead by 19. The final score was 61 to 42, GAC.

Congratulations to our Warriors for making it to the state playoffs, to our graduating seniors, and to Coach Jarvis Davenport.
