CHARLOTTE | Rob Lewis led Queens (N.C.) with a game-high 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor as the Royals defeated the University of North Georgia men’s basketball team, 93-78, on Saturday afternoon in the Levine Center on the Queens campus.

Queens held a slim 34-32 edge at intermission, but exploded for 59 second half points to secure the 15-point victory.

Sean Brennan led the Nighthawk offense with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting and added four rebounds and four assists.Tyler Dominy and Juan Rivas pitched in with 12 points each.

NOTES
– North Georgia falls to 1-4 on the young season, while the host Royals remain perfect at 3-0 with three victories over Peach Belt foes.

– Rivas collected a team-high six rebounds as UNG held a 30-26 edge on the glass.

– 11 different Nighthawks made their way into the scoring column in a balanced offensive attack in which no player took more than eight attempts from the field.

– Marquis Rankin hit 5-of-7 threes and finished with 18 points for Queens.

22 – North Georgia was plagued by 22 turnovers of which Queens converted into 31 points on the other end.
