Fellow students and Family gather at Gene Nix Road bridge to remember to teens who died there Sunday

Students and Family look over the area where two White County teens died Sunday

(CLEVELAND) – Funeral services have been scheduled for Wednesday for the two White County teens who died when their car plunged into Town Creek over the weekend. White County Deputy Coroner Josh Barrett said 18-year-old Taylor Scott Swing and 16-year-old Cecily Hamilton, both of Cleveland drowned, after the vehicle they were in plunged off an embankment and overturned in the creek.

Services for Swing have been set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday.  

Services for Hamilton will be held at 4:30 pm  Wednesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Gainesville. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-9 pm. 

Meanwhile, a Taylor Swing Memorial Fund has been set up at United Community Bank in Cleveland to help defray his funeral expenses for the family. 

 During the day Monday students and family members gathered at the bridge on Gene Nix Road to honor and remember the two teens.  Many of those who stopped by just stood silently, some crying just  looking at the creek where the teens died.
