(AUGUSTA, Ga.) – The Peach Belt Conference has revealed the 2022-23 baseball Teams of Academic Distinction, presented by Barnes & Noble College, with the University of North Georgia baseball team earning six selections to the team.
Jorge Arispuro – 3.5, Finance
Justin Bailey – 4.0, Information Systems
Tim Conway – 3.75, Marketing
Daniel Courtney – 3.5, General Studies/Health & Fitness
Jacob Lassiat – 4.0, Marketing
Nik Levensteins – 3.86, Master of Business Administration
The teams are part of the PBC’s larger initiative to celebrate the academic achievements of PBC student-athletes and is modeled on the CSC Academic All-America program.
To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of their team’s events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) complete at least one full academic year at their current institution and reach sophomore athletic eligibility. The Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Directors oversee the program.
