(CLEVELAND, Ga. ) – The Truett McConnell University women’s beach volleyball team is set to begin their 2024 season on Friday, where the Lady Bears will travel to compete against Emmanuel University in Franklin Springs, Ga.

Women’s beach volleyball completed their 2023 season with an overall record of 10-13, 2-8 SUN, doubling in team wins from last season’s record. The Lady Bears recorded five clean sweeps, along with concluding the season with a sharp performance at the AVCA Small College Championships, where TMU finished fifth out of eight teams.

TMU is excited to welcome Joe Herrera, Director of Volleyball, as the new head coach of the TMU Beach Volleyball program. Herrera joins TMU with 20 plus years of experience coaching beach volleyball and mentoring athletes in their spiritual walks with Christ.

This Friday’s match time is set for 1:00 p.m., followed by two matches against Huntingdon College and Lagrange College, set to take place inside the TMU Beach Volleyball Complex on Saturday, February 10, at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
