Peyton Moore, TMU’s new assistant softball coach.

(Cleveland) – The Truett McConnell University Athletic Department is excited to announce Peyton Moore as the new assistant softball coach.

“I’m really excited to have Coach Moore join the TMU Softball family,”  said Head Coach Dylan Reichenberg. “She joins us with a lot of knowledge of the game, as seen by her successes from playing at a high level of competition. She has a passion for the game and a passion to make a positive impact on our program and student-athletes. To be able to add a coach to the staff with the knowledge and skills set as Coach Moore will have a huge impact on our program. I have full confidence that she will be able to assist in the continued growth and success we have had.”

Moore, an Oak Ridge, North Carolina native, attended Wesleyan Christian Academy, where she was a part of the softball team named 2016 NCISAA State Champions. Moore continued her education and athletic career at King University in Bristol, Tennessee, graduating from King with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing. While at King, Moore was a three year starter as a catcher and middle infielder, along with being named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference Second Team her junior year, which was the same year King was crowned the CC Regular Season and Tournament Champions. During her senior year, Moore continued to lead her team with a stellar performance on the field, earning a weekly honor as the CC Player of the Week before her season was cut short due to injury.

Moore joins TMU now after working in Wilmington, N.C., where she was the assistant softball coach at Wilmington Christian Academy, and currently resides in Dawsonville, Georgia with her husband Drew.
