(Cleveland)- Georgia residents have until the end of business today (Monday)  to register to vote or make changes to their voter registration prior to the November General Election.

White County residents can register to vote at the White County Board of Elections and Registration office at 1241 Helen Highway, Suite 210, Cleveland as well as the Department of Driver Services, when renewing a driver’s license, Department of Human Resources Recruitment Offices, Public Libraries, and online.

To register to vote, residents must be U.S. citizens, legal residents of their county of registration, at least 17 1/2 years old to register and 18 years old to vote, and not serving a felony sentence or being found mentally incompetent.

In the upcoming November General Election early voting begins Tuesday, Oct. 15, and absentee ballots are available starting today (10/7).

If voting by mail, leave yourself enough time to receive and return your ballot by election day.
