(Cleveland)– The Truett-McConnell College Athletic Department announced  Monday  the hiring of Rob Miller as the new Men’s Soccer Head Coach.  Miller joins Truett-McConnell after serving as the Area Director for the Carolina Elite Soccer Academy since 2011.   

At a news conference, Truett-McConnell Athletic Director Stacy Hall expressed his enthusiasm with the new hire.  “I could not be happier to have Coach Miller join our team and lead our Men’s Soccer program,” he said. “Coach Miller loves the Lord and is a proven winner.  He brings a wealth of coaching experience and a passion for the game. 

Miller speaking at a press conference  in the Nix Bear Cave on the TMC campus, Miller said he really enjoys serving on the college level.  

In addition to his experience as a head coach at the collegiate level, Miller has also coached on All Star teams and helped develop Olympic Athletes. He served as the U.S. All Star Team Head Coach in the Outback games in Darwin, Australia in 2003.

Miller has over 14 years’ experience coaching club soccer, as well as serving as a high school coach for the TL Hanna High School Girls’ Soccer team and the Somerset High School Boys’ Soccer team. Additionally, Miller’s hard work can be seen throughout his entire coaching career, as he has garnered numerous coaching awards including;  Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year (2008) Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year (2000) Kentucky State Coach of the Year (2000) Region Coach of the Year (1998) Mid South Conference Coach of the Year (1996)
