DAHLONEGA | The 2015 NCAA Division II National Champion University of North Georgia softball team is set to play host to Division I power Florida State on Sunday afternoon at Haines & Caroline Hill Stadium. The single game is scheduled to start at noon and, in lieu of admission, fans are asked to make a $2 Make-A-Wish donation at the admission gate.

Florida State returns 14 players from the 2015 team that finished No. 9 in the country and won its 13th ACC Championship.

The Seminoles will venture up to Dahlonega one day removed from facing the University of Georgia on Saturdayafternoon in Athens.

FSU assistant coach Travis Wilson served as an assistant to UNG head coach Mike Davenport this summer as the duo mentored the USSSA Pride of the National Pro Fastpitch League.

North Georgia is on the heels of a 54-8 campaign in 2015 in which Davenport’s team captured the school’s first-ever National Championship.

The game will wrap up the Nighthawks’ fall schedule.
