Valerie Amanda Williams age 54 was born August 13th, 1970, in Cleveland, Georgia to (Vallon) and Hazel Moon Summerour. She departed this life on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024.

Valerie expressed her devotion to the Lord by being a member of the choir at St. John Baptist Church. She was a 1988 graduate of White County High School (Go Warriors). Her career history began at Friendship Health and Rehabilitation in which she cared for the elderly, then to Peachtree Windows and Doors where she met the love of her life Oliver. After the company closed, the two of them became employed with Magnolia Windows and Doors. Valerie returned to Friendship Health and Rehabilitation after a number of years where she did medical records.

Valerie had a heart of gold. She consistently went out of her way to lend a helping hand to those in need, embodying generosity in every action. Her warm smile, kind words, and laughter brought comfort to many, reminding them that they were never alone. Valerie had a love for shopping and a passion for fashion. She never stepped out the house without matching from head to toe. She loved making memories and having fun with family and friends. She stood by her children with every achievement, overflowing with pride for their successes. Her gift sent from Heaven was her grandbaby Genesis.

To cherish her precious memory, she leaves behind her loving husband of 23 years Oliver Williams III, mother Hazel Summerour, daughter Ashton Summerour, son Oliver (Bebop) Williams IV, granddaughter Genesis Summerour, sister Ethel (Cookie) Thornton, brother Bardel (Alicha) Summerour, a special cousin Amena Randolph, a good friend Cassandra (Tink) Hamilton, a host of nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 8, 2024, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Mt. Yonah Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
